Dougie Coburn

Dougie has spent all his life in the construction industry, firstly in the supply side, then on site building 'Eco homes'.

Rob is financially trained and has spent an active and varied career living and working throughout  Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the USA.

For the last twenty years, he has focused on helping owners of high growth businesses establish solid foundations upon which to grow, before deciding to focus on adding value to businesses that operate in and around water services which are based in the UK, Belgium, and the US.  Rob has 1 daughter who has followed him into the financial world, with no sight of any grandchildren yet.

Among his hobbies, he lists reading, fine wines and shouting at his soccer team Arsenal on the TV.

I have spent all my working life in the construction industry, starting off as a telephone sales clerk for a building supply company, rising to become their youngest ever branch manager.
I then joined a couple of friends and manufactured traditional Lime based mortars, plasters, and lime washes. Our products were used on the replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. We also repaired and rebuilt old properties using the original materials, the oldest house we worked on was mentioned in the UK's Doomsday book of 1068, That is OLD!
The next move was to build extremely Eco-friendly homes. These were so ahead of their times that even 10 years on other homes have yet to catch up with the levels of insulation etc we used.

And finally, I moved to the USA to start up Bluewater. Here we are bringing European design and technology to the USA' s septic tank market. Cleaning up the ground water and providing a healthier world for us all. There is only so much water on this planet, and with increasing numbers of people, we HAVE to start really looking at how we deal with water......

I would list my hobbies as reading ( I devour books at an alarming rate ), Snow skiing, a passion I have had for nearly 30 years ( one day I will learn to ski forwards!! ) surfing, though that is hard to do in Tennessee, and walking.

I have two daughters and 4 grandchildren so far.
